Getting there
From Barcelona airport to Sants station
The Aerobus doesn't stop at Sants station, but there are three good ways to get there from the airport: the direct R2 Nord train, the Aerobus to Plaça Espanya with a short metro hop, or a taxi.
| Option | Time | Price | Best if… |
|---|---|---|---|
| R2 Nord train | About 20 min from T2 | About €5.50 | You land at T2 and the timetable suits you |
| Aerobus + metro L3 | 35-45 min | €7.75 + metro | You arrive at T1 or at night; it leaves every 5-10 min |
| Taxi | 20-30 min | About €30 + supplement | You're in a group or have lots of luggage |
By R2 Nord train
From Aeroport station, next to T2, a train leaves every 30 minutes and goes direct to Sants in about 20 minutes. If you land at T1, first take the free shuttle to T2. More details on train to the airport.
By Aerobus and metro
Take the Aerobus and get off at Plaça Espanya, the first stop in the city (about 25 minutes). From there, metro line L3 (green) takes you to Sants Estació in two stops; you can also walk, about 15 minutes along Carrer de Tarragona. If you're doing the route the other way round, from Sants, take the L3 to Espanya and board the airport-bound Aerobus at the Plaça Espanya stop.
The combined Metro/Bus + Aerobus ticket (€10.15) includes the Aerobus and one metro journey, so it covers the whole trip. We explain it on fares and tickets.
By taxi
A taxi from the airport to Sants usually costs around €30, plus the airport supplement and the Sants station supplement. More on taxi from the airport.
What about Estació del Nord (coach station)?
The Aerobus doesn't stop at Barcelona Nord coach station either. The easiest way is to take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya or Plaça Universitat and catch metro line L1 (red) from there to Arc de Triomf, a short walk from the station.
