Aerobus
Barcelona Aerobus timetable
The Aerobus has no first or last bus: it runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including public holidays. What changes with the time of day is the frequency: every 5 or 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in the small hours.

How early should you catch the Aerobus for your flight?
The journey takes 30 to 35 minutes from Plaça Catalunya, a little less from Plaça Espanya. Add the wait (no more than 5 or 10 minutes during the day) and some margin for traffic, especially at weekday rush hours and in summer. As a guide:
- Flights within the Schengen area (Spain and most of Europe): catch the Aerobus about 2 h 30 min before your flight departs.
- International flights outside Schengen (UK, the Americas, Asia…): better about 3 h 30 min before, as there will be passport control.
- If you need to check in a bag, find out when your airline's desk closes and arrive with time to spare.
There are more tips in departures: when to get to the airport.
The Aerobus at night
This is one of its big advantages: if your flight lands in the early hours or leaves first thing, the Aerobus is still running. Between midnight and five in the morning there's one bus every 20 minutes on each line, with the same stops and the same ticket. It's the most convenient option at those times, as the metro and train don't run all night and the night bus takes considerably longer.
Sundays, public holidays and special days
The service is the same at weekends and on public holidays. On days with big events in the city (fun runs, demonstrations, major matches) there may be diversions or stop changes in the centre; the operator announces them on its service status page. If your flight leaves that day, allow a little extra time.
